Welcome to Web Directories, a site designed to help webmasters and site owners find relevant directories. We are proud to offer one of the largest, if not the largest, web directories list on the net. Unlike many other directory of directories, we are here to help the directory submitters (rather than the directory owners). We try to give you information that is helpful to your submission decision. Ultimately, you can use the information to make your own choice. If you are planning to submit to a specific directory, especially a paid one, we suggest you enter the domain in the search box above. We'll tell you about the good, the bad and the ugly.

General
We have a collection of five thousand general directories. Our most popular collection is our free directory list. Our listings comments provide you with relevant information to help you make your submission choices. We work closely with our sister site Best-Web-Directories.com to review directory websites. Free directories change to paid all the time (there are some changing right now). We work hard at keeping the free directory list updated. If you see a directory listed in the free category that require a payment or reciprocal link then please use the Report button to let us know.

Niche
We are especially proud of our niche lists. Having your site listed on site that is closely related to your field of business will help improve your traffic and search engine rankings. We have over 3000 niche listings in 100 categories. Our sitemap can help you find the most appropriate category. The list include free and paid listings.

Regional
For some sites, a regional listing can bring in free traffic from their country or community. Of note are free & paid directory listings for Canada, the UK and the United States (now with 2100 listings).

Languages
We have accumulated some impressive lists of non-English language directories. Of note is the German language and the French language lists, each with 200+ listings.

The internet press is said to be the great equalizer. An exciting avenue of publishing where everyday people can compete with billion dollar corporations. This section includes hundreds of social media sites with some useful niche categories. These sites have the potential to bring your website some real traffic.

Directory Owners
We welcome your submissions but remember that we are not a regular dir. Our main focus is making the site useful for our users.
Unless your site if brand new, there is a good chance that I have already added it. Please do a search for your domain (e.g. google.com). If your site is not listed then add it.If you are a niche or regional site, then you should list it in those sections. If you are a general directory that offers free (no strings attached)listings then choose the "free" category, otherwise choose the "paid/reciprocal" category.
