I have just created a new directory SEO glossary. The glossary contains definitions of common directory lingo along with many of the terms used in the directory reviews on this site. I will be adding to this list in the future and going into more detail as to the SEO do and dont‘‘s with respect to directory submission.
Have a look at the Glossary of Directory SEO Terminology. I would appreciate your comments here.

> The title should describe the content of your page
No it’s NOT
Title MUST reflect the name of business or site owner name.
Domain of site would be the best example of what Title should be applied to that site. Example: Best Western Hotel if domain is bestwesternhotel.tld or if domain uses undefined word such as amray.com then adding Web Directory to AMRAY will define the content of that site. The reason for that, amray.net is about Web Hosting and that is why domain must be defined.

It is important for SEO that each page of a site contain a unique title that is related to the content of that page. The title tag is displayed by the search engines, meaning that it will encourage searchers to click on your site.
Granted, within site every page should have unique Title and Description coherent to content of that page as well.
That is why I personally like Google Webmaster Tool. It tells you if site uses identical Titles and Descriptions and will point you to pages that need to be edited.
